Cristina Rivera Garza
Cristina Rivera Garza is the author of Liliana’s Invincible Summer (Hogarth, 2023), long-listed for the National Book Award in Nonfiction, and The Taiga Syndrome (Dorothy Project, 2018), winner of the 2019 Shirley Jackson Award, translated by Suzanne Jill Levine and Aviva Kana. A 2020 MacArthur Fellow, she is the M.D. Anderson Distinguished Professor and founder of the PhD program in creative writing in Spanish at the University of Houston.
